**Australian Christian Book of the Year in 2002.**
Despite what the secular media and the gay community say, there are many Christians who do not wish to embrace a gay identity. These are people who, because of their commitment to Jesus Christ and their belief in the Bible, choose not to act upon their same-sex attraction.
*In What some of you were*, edited by Chris Keane (from Liberty Christian Ministries), you will have the privilege of reading the stories of people who have made that choice. They wish to share their struggles and the way in which God has worked powerfully in their lives. Also included are articles which shed light on this complex issue from a Christian perspective.
This is a book for two sorts of readers: for those who are struggling personally with this issue, and are looking for inspiration, hope and encouragement; and for the general Christian reader, to be informed about the issues, to understand the personal pain and suffering of those involved, and to be equipped to help. The book also includes a discussion guide to help small groups talk through the issues, using ***What some of you were as a basis.*** ***-Publisher.***

I can't decide if I do or like this book. Some aspects were great and truly biblical. Some parts left me confused or pondering it more. It's definitely worthwhile read, it's just a tough topic to try and cover

Beneficial
This book takes a good strong Biblical stand point. It lays out the challenges and issues, yet remains true to what the scripture says. It also gives understanding and insight into the issue. I would recommend this book to anyone who has exposure to this kind of challenge.

Honest and truthful
This is quite a personal book that shares the journeys of several Christians who have struggled or are currently struggling with same sex attraction. While our culture says that 'you are your sexuality', the Bible says that we can have a new identity in Christ that is bigger than your sexual preference. The thing I took out of this book is that as Christians we are all called to take up our cross and deny self, putting all kinds of sin to death, and we need to share in one anothers burdens even as we don't quite understand exactly what we each are going through.
