Libby has been given a powerful gift: to live one life in 1774 colonial Williamsburg and the other in 1914 Gilded Age New York City. When she falls asleep in one life, she wakes up in the other without any time passing. She has one conscious mind but two very different lives and bodies.
In colonial Williamsburg, Libby is a public printer for the House of Burgesses and the Royal Governor, trying to provide for her family and support the Patriot cause. The man she loves, Henry Montgomery, has his own secrets. As the revolution draws near, both their lives--and any hope of love--are put in jeopardy.
Libby's life in 1914 New York is filled with wealth, drawing room conversations, and bachelors. But the only work she cares about--women's suffrage--is discouraged, and her mother is intent on marrying her off to an undesirable English marquess. The growing talk of war in Europe further complicates matters and forces her to make sacrifices she never imagined.
On her twenty-first birthday, Libby must choose one path and forfeit the other forever--but how can she possibly choose when she has so much to lose in each life?

Took me a little to get into it but then completely fell in love with this amazing story. Loved the depth!

Pretty good
I really liked the premise! Very original. I was very keen to dive in, & had high hopes. The injustice was a bit hard to take, though. It did drag a bit in places, so I skipped ahead a lot.

Fascinating Read
This was my first novel by Gabrielle Meyer and it was very interesting. It had many twists and de to the historical genre, made \\nthe 1770's and 1914 intriguing. \\n There were plenty of plot twists and I highly recommend it.

Intriguing Time Slip Novel
This was my favourite book of 2022! With Libby living in 2 time periods you get a glimpse of just how different life is as a young woman throughout history and agonize with her as she comes to choose which will be her future. Highly recommend.

Interesting Idea, Executed Well
This was one of my most anticipated reads for 2022. It did not disappoint! Such an interesting idea and executed really well. I enjoyed both time periods as much as each other. I found the ending satisfied me and completed the story well. Can't wait for book 2!
