After years of isolation on top of Hope Mountain, Ilsa Nordegren may finally be ready to leave. Raised to fear the world, Ilsa and her sisters never planned on coming down, but when the Warden family arrived in need, they had to help. And it may cost them everything.
Having made his fortune, Mitch Warden returned home and found the family homestead abandoned. In a land grab, a ruthless cattle baron had forced his family to escape up the mountain, and when he follows, the last thing he expects is to fall smitten to a black-haired woman who dresses like Robin Hood.
Warden is intent on helping his family reclaim their land, but doesn't realize the risks his past has brought. Dangerous men have tracked him, and rather than risk innocent lives, he's determined to end the danger. But that means a journey to the city--and when Ilsa insists on joining him, the mismatched pair suddenly find themselves on a venture they'll never forget.

Woman of Sunlight (#02 in Brides Of Hope Mountain Series)$22.99
Ilsa's story could be read on it's own, but you'll get the best out of it if you read the entire Brides of Hope Mountain series, and read the books in order. In Book 2, Woman of Sunshine, Mary Connealy takes us off the mountain with Ilsa and Mitch, who roam around the country side and end up in Chicago. It's eye-opening for both the reader and Mitch to experience the world through Ilsa's inexperienced, sheltered and nave eyes. It's a noisy, cluttered, crowded world, and although Ilsa copes remarkably well, Mitch realizes through her experiences, that his world is not as good as he once thought it was. There's humour, enlightenment, romance and depth in this story, and any lover of historical romantic comedy shouldn't miss it.

Ammazinggggggggg!
One of Mary Connealy's best works in my opinion. A twist at every turn with hired murderers, backstabbing criminals, and romance. \\nBe prepared to get transported to a faraway mountain. . . . . . . . . . .

Married to Your Enemy!
Ilsa and Mitch have just gotten married and they don't even like each other-and they have to hurry because someone is trying to kill them. Welcome to the Wild West of 1873. Along with her two sisters, Ilsa has spent her entire life living in isolation on top of a mountain. Not only have strangers invaded their homeland bringing all their new ways of living alone, Ilsa is now married to one of them. \\nNo sooner have Ilsa and Mitch said their vows than they are off to Chicago. As they try to solve the mystery of who is behind the murder attempts, they find themselves in as much danger as they left behind, and killers abound. \\nBecause Ilsa lived cut-off from the world, she experienced her first train ride. Every time the whistle blew, she was traumatized, and wanted off. Other firsts were coffee, which she liked after it had milk and sugar. She found the taste of ice cream, strawberries, and apple dumplings such a delight that she couldn't get enough. \\nThis is a fun book that also contains a very serious story that is full of danger. Ilsa's faith is refreshing, and is a great part of this tale. This story stands alone, but there are still some threads that need to be answered in the next installment. This 5-star book will be enjoyed by those who like well-written fiction or westerns with a touch of humor. \\nBethany House Publishing through NetGalley has provided bookreadingtic with a complimentary copy of, Woman of Sunlight, for the purpose of review.
