Merlin's Isle: An Arthuriad is poet and priest Malcolm Guite's retelling of the legends of King Arthur, written as an epic cycle of ballads in four volumes. Illustrated by Stephen Crotts, it brings Camelot, the knights of the Round Table and the quest for the Holy Grail to life in verse that's a joy to read aloud.
The series opens with Galahad and the Grail, which follows Sir Galahad and his fellow knights on the Grail quest, and continues with The Coming of Arthur, which goes back to Tintagel and Arthur's beginnings. Browse more poetry or Christian fantasy.
