A Bible to be Read for Enjoyment
All Bibles deserve to be read continually for your enjoyment and edification. However some are designed to provide a more smooth reading experience. This version of the ESV translation is one of my favourites. When you pick it up, and slide it from it's slipcase, you feel the cloth-over-board encased book that invites it to be opened. You open it to discover a single column (compared to the two columns most Bibles use) of continuous prose; no verse numbers, and just unobtrusive deep red chapter numbers in the outside margin. It's begging to be read! And when you put it down, there are two brown ribbons that match the accents. The pages are made with high quality pure white paper (not as """"onion thin"""" as most Bibles) and the words are printed in a pleasing Serif font that feels larger than the average Bible. \\nIt's name encapsulates who it is for; this Bible is recommended for those who want to read larger sections or books of the Bible with comfort and ease.
