Inventions of the Heart (#02 in Lumber Baron's Daughters Series)

I thoroughly enjoyed continuing the story of the Stiles sisters in Inventions of the Heart, part 2 in the Lumber Baron's Daughters series. It's nice that we continue to follow the entire family, even those back on the mountain, even though the focus is on Michelle. There's plenty of action, plenty of humour, but enough serious moments to make the characters develop depth, strength and faith. Very enjoyable. Looking forward to part three in the series, to complete the story. I would recommend reading the entire series in order, although each book would make sense alone.

A fast paced novel. 2nd in the series (I did not read the first), enough explanation was there that I didn't feel the need to read the 1st one. The intelligence of all the sisters is a bit unbelievable but was happy to see the male characters being impressed and appreciative. Interesting people and developments, good character growth. I look forward to #3 and what happens with Jilly.
