Thoughtful
The Big Picture: Building Blocks of a Christian World View by Brian Harris is an thoughtful and at times, personally challenging read. I particularly appreciated Brian reminding us that the mark of a Christian is humility. I think it's very easy in a society with a Christian heritage to think that we are 'right' and hence portray an attitude of arrogance when we are actually trying to encourage people to draw close to a God who loves them. Brian shows us how to witness to others humbly. I particularly found the chapters on culture and the 'belong, believe, behave' debate very helpful. It was also wonderful to read the interview with a highly respected Christian thinker/theologian at the end of each chapter and see where they stood in relation to Brian's discussions. Highly recommended.
