The Secret of the Hidden Scrolls series follows siblings Peter and Mary and their dog, Hank, as they discover ancient scrolls that transport them back to key moments in biblical history.

In the first adventure in the series, Peter and Mary find themselves witnesses to the creation of the world just as God is speaking it into existence. Can they unlock the mystery of the scrolls before they get trapped in history forever? Children will discover the answer as the two characters ride rhinos, meet the angel Michael, and talk to a certain snake in the Garden of Eden. Riveting text and engaging illustrations bring this beloved Bible story to riotous life.

Excellent adventure series to capture the joy of reading in my 7 year old grandson .
My 7 yr old grandson loves to read , especially chapter books on his own and being read to him as well. This one was perfect . He loved it so much he read it all in two days before and after school. He is in grade one . Finding safe fun exciting material for his age was absolutely met in this series. Will be adding more from this series to his collection . His excitement and joy to read this said it all as well as parents approval .

Got her reading
My daughter was struggling to enjoy reading but loved literature read alouds. Found this in searching for something with a bigger plot to grab her attention as she learns to read more fluently. She gets pretty excited when she recognizes things from the Bible in the story. She's newly 7. Id recommend this for kids who knows their Bible stories well enough to separate fact and fiction in the story.

Great read for my 8 year old son.
This book caught my sons attention, with the adventure and related stories from the ones he knows from the Bible. He found the book enjoyable, the words were easy to read and chapters manageable with 100 pages and small pictures throughout! I was thrilled to finally find a book that my son (who is a good reader, just a distracted one) was happy to read by himself and he couldn't wait to buy the next book in the series. Thankfully there are many more to get. I'd recommend this series for a girl or boy, 8-10 years!
