Shows forth the heart of Christ so clearly and deeply. Blows up modern feel-good preaching and emphasises brokenness over sin and suffering as at the heart of the Christian faith. So helpful in providing the Bible novice with a framework to approach each book, and the more-likely-to-be-arrogant-and-aloof Bible expert like me, a lesson in humility and child-like dependence on God. 9/10 I wish it was longer.

Conflicted
I like the idea of looking at the bible as a single story. I like how Dr Crabb packages individual books of the bible as love letters to us. But I'm conflicted on how Dr Crabb delivers that message. The books is written as God in first-person, writing letters to us. I don't know about you, but it feels a bit weird reading a while book with God speaks to you in the first-person. It has """"The Shack"""" feel to it. You might like it but for me, I'm conflicted

Wow, wow, wow!
