A valuable book of theology
This systematic theology by James Ussher is quite different to the modern systematic theologies. Ussher's """"A Body of Divinity"""" is in a question and answer format and although this does take a little bit to get used to, it does help to guide each topic that is covered and is surprisingly engaging. It is also interesting to see what issues were most important to the church in the 1600's. Even though the writing style is old, it is still very readable. The number of Scriptures Ussher uses to support his position are abundant and are very helpful for gaining a greater understanding of his arguments. His treatment of the Ten Commandments is extensive and extremely useful, even after almost 400 years. The more effort you put into reading this book, the more you will get out of it. A very valuable book.
