A Closer Walk with God: Rediscovering Age-Old Practices to Refresh Your Soul

Do you believe Jesus is with you and cares for you, but still not feel close to him? When you talk with God in prayer, does it feel one-sided?

If following the advice to “just read your Bible and pray” isn’t helping you to feel close to God, this book is for you. These realistic ideas, rooted in age-old practices, will help you experience true, deep communion with your Lord and Saviour as you walk through everyday life with him.

In A Closer Walk with God, Tim Chester thoughtfully describes different ways to connect with Jesus. You’ll be invited to…

* Explore a wide variety of biblical postures and traditional practices for drawing close to Christ
* Expand your understanding of what it is to be with God—without just following another checklist
* Experience closeness with Christ as you try out the tools in each chapter

Tim Chester explains, “I don’t want you to read it as a list of requirements. It’s an invitation to go deeper with God.” This isn’t just another book on prayer; it is a resource designed to help you enjoy your relationship with God more deeply.Read less
