    short and sweet

this is a good introduction to the work surrounding the westminster confession from a reliable church historian. great for the uninitiated, i highly recommend it. the author subscribes to the original document and has written widely on the subject, he also has a commentary on the same as well as a modernized translation. he has a uncanny ability to succinctly and pointedly describe events, everything he writes is worth a look.
