But today's readers often get tripped up by the ancient writing style and wonder...

* Did Moses really write Genesis?
* Many of the reports seem so odd--are they scientifically accurate? Does that matter?
* How does Genesis relate to other ancient accounts of creation, the origin of evil, and the great flood?

Stephen M. Miller--a seminary-educated news journalist--presents viewpoints from a wide range of Christian Bible experts, along with gorgeous graphics and a touch of dry humor.

Whether you're a Bible newbie or a longtime reader, this visual stroll through the first book of the Bible will help you bridge the gap between then and now.

    Pictorial handbook

This is another of Stephen M Miller's pictorial guidehandbooks. Visually appealing very much like Reader's Digest publications although it is not. If you are looking for theology - you will be disappointed. As Stephen says he only projects differing views, doesn't teach anything, this book does exactly that. Full of various background information and trivia to put it mildly, A Visual Walk through Genesis will give you a very good background information if yu are a Bible nut and also provides interest in the Bible for novices and non Christians. Stephen M Miller's books are addictive because of the format he uses - it's like buying those childhood fairy tales in glossy covers. The only negative is- because Stephen gives views as expressed by scholars and leaves the reader to do hisher own sum regarding the truth, people could get disillusioned, confused and lose interest in the truth of the Bible because if there are so many views one could conclude the Bible is just that- a myth, human concoction. Other than that a great handy reference tool.
