These four brief glimpses into Amish life at Christmas time had quite a calming effect amidst the busyness of the festive season. Spending time in the Amish community, where life is just a little bit slower, and a lot less focused on the materialistic side of Christmas was refreshing. I was surprised how involved I felt with the characters in such a short time, and delighted to have four well-known authors together - so often in collections there a a few well-known authors grouped with unknowns. Each story is complete in itself, and each comes to a romantic and satisfying conclusion. At this busy time of year, it was nice to be able to read the stories fairly quickly. I highly recommend this book to lovers of Amish fiction.
