Lucy Marsh's worldly resources are running out, but she's fiercely determined to care for her younger brother and sister. When she discovers that their father's recent death was no accident, Lucy is eager to leave town. She accepts a proxy marriage she believes will provide safe refuge. But trouble follows her to Texas where her new husband is surprised to suddenly have a wife and children to care for.

Nate Stanton always hoped he'd marry someday, but running the family ranch meant he had no time for romance. When his father deposits Lucy Marsh - a city girl - on his doorstep, with two siblings in the bargain, he expects ranch life will send her running on the first train out of town. But Lucy is made of tougher stuff than Nate imagined. When danger moves in, Nate finds he'd give anything to protect Lucy and the children he's grown to love. Even if it means giving up his ranch.

*Blue Moon Promise* is a story of hope, romance, and suspense . . . immersing the reader in a rich historical tale set under Texas stars.

    Great Read

Okay, I'll admit to reading this book in a four hour sitting. I started it at 9. 30pm and finished it at 1. 15am! I'm a book junkie. Needless to say the next day I was a very tired and cranky woman! The price is high for being a book junkie. \\r\\n\\r\\nI enjoyed this book for the most part. Colleen has again given her readers a spunky hero who I just love! This woman can write a guy of a girl's dreams of well!! So really I don't need to say much more about Nate. But I must add that I really loved the relationship Nate developed with Lucy's younger brother. It really showed how a young boy needs guidance and direction from an older man to teach him what it means to be a man. It was really touching. \\r\\n\\r\\nLucy is a tough girl who's had to make the best of a very bad situation. She is used to being in control (mainly because that is what life has demanded of her) and she has trouble surrendering control to anyone. She cannot seem to understand that Nate accepts her as she is. She is constantly trying to prove her worth by doing things she doesn't either know how to do or need to do. In truth, her stubborn determination is a little off-putting at times. Lucy needs to chill a bit. \\r\\n\\r\\nThe story trots along at a good pace but something strange happened to me when I finished the last page. Empty was the only word I can use to describe what I was feeling at the time. After giving it a little more thought, I worked out that I felt the book needed another chapter or two.…

    An Excellent Read!!

Colleen Coble's story of Lucy Marsh and Nate Stanton is one full of romance and mystery. \\r\\n \\r\\nWhen Lucy's desperation of resources for looking after her younger siblings runs low, her father's old friend offers her to marry his son, Nate, who have never met and because Lucy wishes to keep them together as a family, she reluctantly accepts. However little does she know exactly why he came after all these years, which is revealed though several unexpected twists. \\r\\n\\r\\nFor me, this story was more about the developing relationship between Nate and Lucy. Although some have commented on the suspense Colleen Coble weaved through the book, I would interpret it more like mystery because I felt there was a little lack of climax, an aspect I find important for true suspense. However, who said this was a bad thing? I rather like the mystery. \\r\\n\\r\\nI am a big romance fan and therefore find it hard to uncover a book that possesses all the qualities I truly enjoy. Blue Moon Promise definitely fulfils my expectations. The character development between Lucy, Nate, Eileen and Jed is really well developed and shapes their personalities that really make them characters to admire. \\r\\n\\r\\nI recommend this book to anyone one who loves their romance novels!!! It's one that can't be missed. \\r\\n
