Harriet Tubman is born a slave on a Maryland plantation in the 1800s. She trusts in God, but her faith is tested at every turn. Should she obey her masters or listen to her conscience? This story from Harriet's childhood is a record of courage. Even more, it's the story of God's faithfulness as He prepares her for her adult calling to lead more than 300 people out of slavery through the Underground Railroad.

DAUGHTERS OF THE FAITH: These genuine, heart-warming stories are based upon the experiences of four young girls who trusted God. Meet Mary Chilton, who travelled to America on the Mayflower, Harriet Tubman, a slave born on a Maryland plantation in the 1800s, Olive Oatman, a pioneer raised by Indians, and Mary Bunyan, the blind daughter of John Bunyan.

    Loved It

Courage To Run is based on the life of Harriet Tubman. Harriet was born a slave, but she longed to be free. When she was sold unexpectedly to a family she didn't know, she had to trust God that He knew best. This is one of my favourites in the Daughters of the Faith series. My eyes were riveted to the pages. Great for girls aged 10-16. This is a must read adventure.
