Courageous Leaders

This is a book that every leader should be reading. In it, the authors seek to inspire, encourage and equip leaders to be courageous leaders who will move from a God-inspired vision to a God-led plan and into God-motivated action. To have a God-inspired vision will enable courageous leaders to do the right thing that is in accordance with the heart and will of God. To have a God-led plan will help courageous leaders to do things right. This calls for them to work prayerfully with their teams to develop The Leaders Plan which involves 5 steps with which they can decide on the Overall Objective, brain-write End Items, identify Milestones, identify Supertasks and create Subprojects, and then evaluate needed resources and critical path. With the God-led plan in place, courageous leaders then move into God-motivated action which means doing the right things right. This calls for, amongst various things, flexible tenacity, fostering creativity, embracing the impossible, doing the possible, developing foresight, and being transformational leaders. Although the section dealing with developing the Leaders Plan can be somewhat technical, the other sections have much leadership wisdom and insights to inform, instruct and inspire. This is a book that should be on the shelf of every leader!
