CSB Giant Print Reference Bible Black (Red Letter Edition)

The CSB is a readable, modern and accurate English translation of the Bible that can be used by everyday Christians. The giant print will help those with poor eyesight. The only downside is that the red-letter feature makes some passages harder to see (compared to a black font), which might be unhelpful for people with low vision who are intentionally buying a larger print Bible.

First up, while it says genuine leather, this actually feels more like goatskin to me, so at this price point, it is exceptionally good value for a leather Bible that will stand the test of time (and likely be handed down to your kids). Double column text is printed in exceptionally large font for a giant print edition and to my eyes, the text (in 2K Denmark's Bible Serif typeface) is line-matched very well for ease of reading. Paper is white and relatively opaque. As for helps, you get a topical concordance, some maps, cross-references at the end of each paragraph (which makes this a better reading Bible to me). Also, two satin ribbons complete the set. The one thing I have actually noticed more while reading this edition of the CSB relative to other Protestant translations are how copious the marginal and translation notes are (on par to the ESV's in number by my reckoning, much better than the NIV and NLT editions I have). While this is still available, one of the best reference editions out there. Perfect for the use of pastors who are preaching from the CSB at the pulpit/ambo/lectern and a great reading Bible if you want something with a larger typeface size. Warmly recommended.
