The tale of a mail order bride with a secret, this book was a nice story, if not the best I've ever read. It was interesting following their relationship as it grew from respect to romance and trust but I found I connected more emotionally with the minor characters than the main ones. Not a bad book but probably not one I'd read again. \\r\\n

Enjoyed it!
Can't remember if I've read Maggie Brendan's work before but really enjoyed the Story of Catherine who answers a Mail Order Bride ad. \\r\\nMaggie writes a story full of relatable relationship happenings and builds on the story with great inclusion of strong side characters. interwoven, a fun, sometimes sad, touching beginning to a trilogy unfolds. \\r\\nI hope you enjoy it too!

Deeply disappointing
I read one of the others in this series which was good. This had some unnecessary sensuality in it. Without spoiling the story, it is impossible to mention my other major objection. All in all, I found the thoughts and behavior of both main characters unbelievable (him) and deluded (her).
