Discovering Joy in Philippians: A Creative Bible Study Experience

This book is unique in combining Bible study with creative outlets, including colouring pages. \\n\\nThe Bible study is scheduled to take 11 weeks, with five days of studies per week. However, you can go at your pace. Sometimes I did the whole study for that day. Other times I just did a couple of questions. Although I've done other studies on Philippians, I still learned new things. The study was fairly in-depth, but easy to understand. \\n\\nThe newer thing for me was the combination of artistic and creative elements. Each week has a key verse, which appears on an illustrated bookmark to colour and a full colouring page. There are also lots of little bits and pieces you can colour throughout if you wish. The idea is to meditate on the verse as you colour and think about how it might apply to your life. I kept a set of pencils nearby, and tried to colour for 5-10 mins after each study. It was surprisingly soothing and I came to enjoy those times. The bookmarks have also been reproduced at the back of the book so that you can copy them to colour again or give as gifts. There are also lots of web links to extra resources, as well as a Facebook group. \\n\\nThe study is geared more towards women. I enjoyed this book so much that I've bought another book in the series and have started working through it. A great book if you have a creative streak or if you would like to try something a little different in your Bible study.
