2005 ECPA Retailer's Choice Award winner for best biography/autobiography ?Steve Saint was five years old when his father, missionary pilot Nate Saint, was speared to death by a primitive Ecuadorian tribe. In adulthood, Steve, having left Ecuador for a successful business career in the United States, never imagined making the jungle his home again. But when that same tribe asks him to help them, Steve, his wife, and their teenage children move back to the jungle. There, Steve learns long-buried secrets about his father's murder, confronts difficult choices, and finds himself caught between two worlds. Soon to be a major motion picture (January 2006), "End of the Spear" brilliantly chronicles the continuing story that first captured the world's attention in the bestselling book, "Through Gates of Splendor."

    Challenging

End of the Spear follows the lives of 5 young missionaries who desire to spread the gospel among Waodani. They don't know the language, they aren't positive where the Waodani are, they know the Waodani are dangerous warriors, yet they put this aside in order to follow God's calling. \\r\\nAt first you're challenged, wondering if this really was God's calling for their lives when it hits the climax, however at the conclusion you can see how precisely all the events occurred in order to bring glory to God and to help the tribe have the chance at salvation and hearing the Gospel. \\r\\n'End of the Spear' will challenge your faith, and push you to consider whether you are indeed following God's calling on your own life, and whether there is something you need to change. \\r\\nThe story is told in an engaging, yet accurate manner. I would definitely recommend it.
