ESV-CE Holy Bible With Apocrypha

This is an excellent update of an earlier version of the ESV with Apocrypha published by Oxford University Press. The Apocrypha has been updated in line with the relatively recent update of some of the deuterocanonical books that have made their way into the ESV Catholic Edition (also published by SPCK). This hardback edition is a beautifully typeset edition (by 2K Denmark) in double column, black letter, line-matched text on good quality Bible paper (a little bit of ghosting is present) with a single silver satin bookmark ribbon. If you are looking for cross-references, sadly these do not contain any so your only option will be Cambridge University Press' ESV with Apocrypha Diadem Edition (an upsized version of their classic Pitt Minion format). I have read these SPCK editions over the 2021 Christmas break and they are very readable editions (and the ESV-CE edition is more readable than the Augustine Institute and ATS ESV-CE editions). Now that the ESV+A and ESV-CE are both out, this will be my primary Bible translation alongside the RSV-2CE and RSV+A. As another reviewer has alluded to earlier, this is a boon to ecumenism and hopefully will be a step in the right direction if the Australian Catholic Bishops Conference decides on an ESV based lectionary in line with their English, Scottish and Welsh episcopal brethren.
