Casey Cox is in the frame for the murder of her friend Brent. She is innocent, but must go on the run. Hired to track down Casey, Dylan Roberts digs into her past and finds she doesn't match the profile of a killer at all. But the police won't listen, and Casey has to stay one step ahead.
**Casey Cox has blood on the bottom of her shoes, in her car, on her clothes. But there's no point in trying to defend herself. She just has to run.**
Casey didn't kill her friend Brent. She discovered his body, but she'd never try to hurt him. He's the only person she's ever trusted enough to tell the truth about what happened to her father ... and there's no doubt in her mind that Brent was killed trying to help her prove it. She has to run before they get to her too.
Dylan Roberts was hired to find Casey and bring her back so that justice can be served. As a former Criminal Investigator for the Army, he can't imagine that tracking down one girl will be that difficult.
But the more elusive Casey turns out to be, the more Dylan digs into her past to try to determine what she might be thinking. What he finds there doesn't fit the profile of a killer at all. She's unlike any other fugitive he's ever seen.
The police refuse to discuss any other possibilities. There's something more going on here. Something more to this fugitive who has captured his attention. Now he just has to figure out what it is ... and Casey just has to stay one step ahead of everyone who's after her.

Highly recommend this book if you like any detective and fast-paced novel. Each chapter ends on a thrilling note that encourages you to read the next chapter. I really love the main character as she was able to remain calm even when she was in dangerous situation. You definitely could finish this book within a day!

If I run. . . . you better run and grab this book!
If I Run is the first Christian suspense novel I picked up, and boy am I glad I did!Being a lover of all things mysteries, whodunit and suspense, I was pleasantly surprised when I discovered the suspense section in my local Christian book store and decided to buy Book 1 and Book 2 of Terri Blackstock's If I Run series. By the time I got the end of the second book (at that point I didn't realise there was a third book) I was devastated to realise I had to wait another 6 months before being able to get my hands on the third book! At the time of writing this I'm still yet to read the third book - but as they say, good things are worth waiting for!If I Run covers a myriad of issues including PTSD, suicide, murder, corruption, fear and justice - all things we can relate to on some level, and for those who can't, brings a greater depth of understanding of issues that others face on a daily basis. The story has a conspiracy theory element, which is always a hook to get you into the book and not let you put it down. The way Terri incorporates Christianity into the book is interesting and in my opinion well done. As I mentioned, not having read Christian suspense, I was intrigued going into the book how it would be done, but Terri made it seamless and realistic. On a side note, I really love the new cover style of Terri's latest series - in fact it's what drew me to pick up the book at the store and purchase it! For those who love a good suspense or mystery book, I would recommend it

Great start to a suspenseful series
4. 5 stars. Most people would call the police if they found their best friend murdered, but Casey Cox has been let down by the police before. They covered up her father's murder years ago, labelling it a suicide. Her friend Brent was helping her to look into the case. Now he's dead and her DNA is all over the crime scene. She runs away, creates a new identity, and tries to stay alive. \\n\\nDylan Roberts was a criminal investigator in the army, but has PTSD from his experiences in Afghanistan and Iraq. The murder victim is his best friend Brent. Brent's family hire him to help find Casey, the No. 1 suspect in the murder case. However, the more he finds out about Casey and the closer he gets to finding her, the more he starts to question the truth. \\n\\nI was hooked from the opening page. It's told in dual first-person narrative, with some chapters from Casey's POV and some from Dylan's POV. It raises a lot of issues to do with faith, justice, and truth. What would you do to protect the ones you love? What would you do if you didn't know who to trust and the wrong choice could kill you? What if saving someone else could cost you your own life? Can you trust a God who seems to have turned his back on you?\\n\\nIt's Book 1 in a series of 3, so all is not wrapped up at the end. However, there's resolution of one of the plot points and I was keen to read the next installment. One of the best Terri Blackstock books I have read in ages. \\n

Cannot wait to read Book 2 and Book 3!
The plot is great. I love how the author sets up the suspense in the story. I also love the characters. The main character is someone that most audiences can relate to. The only downside is that the story is too short. I cannot wait to read Book 2 and Book 2.

Thrilling
I read this book twice and appreciated it so much more the second time. Please don't skim read, you will miss important information and not get the whole thrill of it. Blackstock goes straight into the story - it starts with a bang.
