Imposter

**Beat low self-esteem, eradicate shame, and become who God made you to be.**
So many people are living the “try hard” life. They’re trying hard to be what others want or expect them to be. In the process they are hiding their true selves behind the mask of performance to get their need for love and security met. But they can only pretend for so long. Rita Schulte meets women in this place almost daily in her practice, women who have exchanged their true selves for an imposter, and they are tired of pretending. They want to be loved for who they really are but don’t know where to begin.

*Imposter* exposes the trap of trying harder and harder, which just leads to burnout, and shows readers how to uncover the lies, thinking errors, social pressures, and other factors that set up the false self to eventually overtake a person’s true identity. By learning the truth about God’s nature and character and how to rewire their thoughts through the use of spiritual disciplines, readers will be encouraged to be themselves, knowing that God’s desire is to coauthor a story of redemption for them.Read less
