If you're looking for a Christmas advent devotional, I'd recommend this one. With excerpts from different Max Lucado books, each short chapter (around two pages each) focuses on a different aspect of the Christmas story - God came near, Joseph's choice, Mary's faith, etc - and then finishes with a prayer. I love the simplicity of it but also the fact that a few short musings can make you reconsider the enormity of what God did by sending his son to the world at Christmas. Highly recommend this book.
