Helpful and concise
This commentary helpfully works through the first 11 chapters of John's Gospel. Borchert takes larger passages at a time. Rather than delving deeply into each individual verse, he provides explanations and illustrations to illuminate the main idea of each passage. Helpful as a beginning commentary.
