    One-sided notes

I must say I'm in agreement with the previous review from Raymond. \\r\\nI bought this bible because my old bible was falling apart after 20 years of use, and thought I'd try the KJV after reading the NKJV Spirit Filled Life Bible. The bible text itself is great, convenient sized print, much easier to read than expected, lots of chartsmaps etc. \\r\\nBut the notes! They're so biased towards the pre-tribulation rapture and predestination! My previous bible presented various views on these sort of topics, but this bible just straight out declares what they believe as though it's the absolute truth. \\r\\nSo I'm reading the bible itself, but ignoring most of the notes. \\r\\nI'll also add that I felt there were very few notes throughout the OT (where there was less doctrine for them to push) compared to the NT.

    Disappointing

The """"KJV Study Bible 2nd edition"""" has all the usual features of a study bible, such as concordance, maps etc. , as well as unique features of its own. \\r\\nThe most significant characteristic of this Study Bible is that it is unequivocally Dispensational Premillennial in its eschatology. It everywhere assumes and teaches this throughout, and doesn't acknowledge any other view. So, whenever a verse or passage discusses end time events, it """"proves"""" the Dispensational view, and """"disproves"""" any other view. This means that as long as you use this Bible, you will imbibe its Dispensational teaching, whether you like it or not, or even realise it. \\r\\nThe Introductions to the Gospels I thought were very good, though brief. The study notes at the bottom of each page are also generally good but, again, brief. \\r\\nWhen I purchased this Bible, I wasn't aware of its eschatological approach, so I have been very disappointed in it. Other people though, who have a Dispensational view of end times will, no doubt, be pleased with it. But for me, its value and use is limited. I wanted a Study Bible I could use every day, but as it is, I can only use it as a reference book now, and not as a Bible, as the whole thing is permeated with Dispensational theology. If it wasn't for this one feature, I would give it 5 stars instead of 3. \\r\\n
