Discover the money-saving and wealth-building secrets of America's thriftiest people, the Amish. \\r\\nIn Money Secrets of the Amish, readers go on an """"Amish money makeover,"""" learning the choices, secrets, and disciplines that safeguarded the contentment and the coffers of America's favorite plain folk by spending less, saving more, and getting happier doing it. \\r\\nCraker learned that Amish money policies not only allow them to save and spend wisely, but also to find peace and contentment in their lives. They understand delayed gratification (no impulse buying!) for one thing, and always pay on time, or preferably never borrow or use credit cards. The Amish, exceptionally hard workers, also know that the best things in life are free. \\r\\n\\r\\nCraker's writing style is delightful, breezy and conversational, which contributes to a good read.

Practical Money Advice
Filled with advice on curbing spending habits and creating savings opportunity, this book is as humourous as it is practical. While the book focuses primarily on the spending habits of the Amish, using examples and anecdotes, the author also shares her own personal experiences and that of her equally frugal friends. \\r\\n\\r\\nI found this book both informative and entertaining, as someone who enjoys Amish fiction the thought of reading a non-fiction book about this group of people that are unique to the United States of America intrigued me. I was not disappointed. I found the insights into the lives of the Amish and their spending habits (or lack thereof) practical and easily adaptable to daily life. \\r\\n\\r\\nI thoroughly recommend this book to anyone that is looking to reduce their debts and cut back on their spending in a way that is good for them, their families, and the environment!\\r\\n\\r\\nNote: I received this book free from the publisher through the booksneeze. com book review bloggers program. I am not required to give a positive review, just an honest one. The opinions expressed are my own.
