Montana Sky

Having read several of this authors short romance novels, I was ready to relax with another. I was surprised when Loree Lough veered away from her previous form of simple sweet romances and tried for a more complicated plot with wolf wars, threats, mystery and suspense. I found it didn't work for me as well as her other writing, with a few holes in the plot, which started out as being about wolf hunters, and ended up as a revengeful battle for land. I kept feeling like I'd missed the connection! There were more characters, and a lot more going on, and maybe it all needed more pages to develop properly, although maybe readers who are more used to that genre would find it okay. It was still a worthwhile read, and Chet was a great hero.
