Eye-Opening Resource
This book gives a glimpse into what life is like for Christians living in many parts of the world where it is dangerous or difficult to live out faith in Jesus. It's a very helpful guide for focused and specific prayer, and also a great tool to become more aware of what other Christians are going through. A great book to use on your own, or to go through with the family and pray together.

Essential
I struggle to think how there could be a more comprehensive guide to global Christianity than this. Operation World sums up the situation of God's people in every nation of the world, and provides a highly detailed explanation of both what we can praise God for having already done in each nation, and a list of issues that prayer is still needed for. All Christians are part of one body, the global Church, and in the 21st century for the first time we have up to date information of what God is doing in every corner of the world, and where his Church is at. Praise God that we have access to fantastic resources such as this, and I'm sure for every Christian the information in this book is both eye-opening and encouraging. Definitely worth buying!
