Churches have tried all kinds of ways to attract new and younger members - revised vision statements, hipper worship, contemporary music, livelier sermons, bigger and better auditoriums. But there are still so many people who aren't being reached, who don't want to come to church. And the truth is that...

Churches have tried all kinds of ways to attract new and younger members - revised vision statements, hipper worship, contemporary music, livelier sermons, bigger and better auditoriums. But there are still so many people who aren't being reached, who don't want to come to church. And the truth is that attendance at church on Sundays does not necessarily transform lives; God's presence in our hearts is what changes us. Leaders and laypeople everywhere are realizing that they need new and more powerful ways to help them spread God's Word.

According to international church starter and pastor Neil Cole, if we want to connect with young people and those who are not coming to church, we must go where people congregate. Cole shows readers how to plant the seeds of the Kingdom of God in the places where life happens and where culture is formed - restaurants, bars, coffeehouses, parks, locker rooms, and neighborhoods. *Organic Church* offers a hands-on guide for demystifying this new model of church and shows the practical aspects of implementing it.

    Revival of True Church Spirit

In today's society there is something broken with Church - falling Church attendances across all denominations; particularly in industrialised western countries, point to significant problems with how we are 'doing' Church. \\r\\nLooking back we can see that the early Church grew rapidly. Yet they did not have electric guitars, multimedia wizardry or cool kids programs. In fact, they often endured persecution and horrible death. Why are we different today? How can we recapture the growth of the early Church?\\r\\nNiel Cole and Leonard Sweet demonstrate that you don't need big Church buildings, flashy electronic wizardry or cool programs for youth. \\r\\nA heart for Jesus and turning to Him always, as we are lead by Him in developing His Church, is all that we need. Cole and sweet show us that less can really can be more in a burgeoning movement called Organic Church. \\r\\nThis is a must-read, paradigm-shifting, eye-opener for any Christian who has a heart to see the Good News spread to the very ends of the earth, and His Kingdom realised here on Earth.

    A Challenge

This book will challenge your thinking about church. This is a no-holds-barred attempt to describe a way forward for the church in our 21st century world. If you are a church leader, then this book is a must for you to read. Beware, because you may find yourself in an awkward position after reading it. You may not want to go back to doing church the way you have been doing it. It has challenged my thinking a lot and I have been doing church for at least 40 years. You will find here the essentials for the survival of the church in our time and in the days ahead.
