Enjoyable story, but not the same format as book 1

The story is great, very enjoyable with strong characters and an interesting plot. Has sweet kids but also a troubled, drug abusing teen that introduces some interesting redemption themes to the book. They are both scared of getting involved. He because his wife was a drug addict that overdosed, and she because her husband was a musician who got drunk and killed himself in a crash. The live liver donor surgery was surprisingly quick. It covers a big chunk of time but very little pages in the book. That was probably due to word count restrictions, but I would have liked it to be a little longer. Has a nice, satisfying end though, and I loved how much time she spent building their relationship before the surgery. I suppose that's why I thought the end was a bit rushed after I was used to her slower approach in their earlier relationship. The format of this book is not like book 1. It's about the size of a mass market Harlequin, and about the thickness of a historical harlequin. The text is therefore much smaller than book 1. I ordered the physical book because I assumed it would be the same format as book 1 which I found easier with my eyesight/hand issues. That was a disappointment, but the story was good.
