Tens of millions of Muslims live in the West. As a group they are ethnically diverse, culturally rich and often wonderfully passionate about life and faith. Yet Christians (or those of a Christian background) can behave shamefully towards them, whether by avoiding Muslims or by committing their holy book to the fire. *Reaching Muslims* is a call to anyone who self-identifies as Christian to develop open-hearted friendships with Muslims. This is a call for positive, not fearful, engagement. This is vital because as Christians what we have to share with Muslims is magnificent and potentially life-changing - Jesus really is great news for everyone! If you have zero knowledge about Islam and zero relationships with Muslims, don't worry: this book is for you. Packed with stories and examples, it is short, simple and in four parts: - Part I: Fascinating introduction covering stories Muslims tell, demographics, belief, culture, politics and other aspects of Islamic identities. - Part II: Ideas to foster contact effectively with the Muslim community. - Part III: Starting from the fact that most Muslims love Jesus, ten ideas for how Christians might help Muslims see Jesus afresh. - Part IV: Three theological hot potatoes: Should Christians call God 'Allah'? Should those from Muslim background be baptised? Should Christians eat halal meat?
Detailed appendices include a glossary, study guides, and further resources by topic.

A fascinating introduction covering demography, theology, culture, politics, justice, and other aspects of Islamic identity. It is well illustrated with stories and examples. Nick considers what reasons a Muslim might have for thinking that Jesus is good news. What does the Qur'an say about Jesus? Why do we know that God loves Muslims? He then suggests thirteen 'No Regret Moves' to help build open-hearted friendships and to equip Christians to connect with Muslims, including: Pray in faith for open hearts; Foster curiosity; Show love in action; Invite others into The Story and your story. He deals with three theological hot potatoes - should Christians call God 'Allah'; should a convert from Islam be baptised; and should Christians eat halal meat? Detailed appendices provide sample talks for Muslim audiences, and offer seven specific ways to foster contact with the Muslim community.

I am not sure if this book is to help Christians share their faith or teach them to be more like a Muslim. \\r\\nCan a Christian call God Allaha? (Yes)\\r\\nChristians eating Halal? (Sure)\\r\\n\\r\\nSorry but that did it for me and I have stopped reading this book.

Practical
Here is a book that doesn't just wax lyrical about what's involved in reaching Muslims, or just try to teach you about their faith. \\r\\n\\r\\nIt gives very practical outlines (based on the author's experience - he has had many years involvement with Muslims) of what you could do, what parts of the Bible you could study, what you might struggle with - all the things you might need to give you a head start to do what the book's title aims at: Reaching Muslims. \\r\\n\\r\\nI've been involved with Muslims for 15 years so I'm speaking from experience when I say 'highly recommended'
