*New issue of a theological classic on the atonement*

Originally published in 1955 and reprinted dozens of times over the years, John Murray's *Redemption Accomplished and Applied* systematically explains the two sides of redemption -- its accomplishment through Christ's atonement and its application to the lives of believers.

Murray explores the biblical passages dealing with the necessity, nature, perfection, and extent of the atonement in order to establish its relationship to our justification, sanctification, and glorification. He goes on to identify the distinct steps in the Bible's presentation of how the redemption accomplished by Christ is applied progressively to the life of the redeemed, including the role of faith and repentance.

Concise, precise, and accessible, Murray's classic doctrinal study will now reach and benefit a new generation of readers.

    Essential classic

Comprehensive doctrine on the atonement and it's application. \\r\\nMurray covers this in detail and points out some common mistakes of even evangelical Christians. Too often we sell the gospel short by minimising an aspect of the atonement, and take God's glory away from Him. \\r\\nHighly recommend reading for all.

    Great classic on the atonement

Murray was a pastortheologian who wrote during the 20th century. This book began as a series of articles that were published on various aspects of the atonement. Being received well, these articles were compiled together with some additional content to form this book. There are two parts, the first explores the nature of what Jesus """"accomplished"""", the second explores how that is """"applied"""" to the beliver. The second part is primarily concerned with the 'ordo salutis'. This is a great book that carefully unpacks what is bound up in the atonement. One of the weaknesses is that is doesn't engage with other theologians and scholars of the time, it's mostly just Murray and the Bible. Highly recommended.
