A Fascinating Insight Into Iraq under Saddam's Dictatorship

his was a compelling read, and I couldn't put the book down! It is an extremely rare insight into the world of Iraq during the time of Saddam Hussein's regime. It is told from a very unique perspective, of an Assyrian Christian, called upon by Saddam for truthful military counsel and advice on many occasions - at the risk of his life. This story is told from a first-hand perspective of a military pilot who rose to become a General within the Iraqi Airforce. It is written, almost in a conversational manner, and although there were a few times that a particular incident was revisited, the content was so compelling, that you want to know more. General Sada's account speaks to the innumerable times he has had to trust entirely upon God to keep him alive in a very volatile environment. General Sada's work interweaves alongside """"The Vicar of Baghdad"""" Andrew White, in the ongoing peace process in Iraq. This book will expand your perspectives of recent and current events in The Middle East.
