I guess deep down inside we've all wondered 'why' something happened. And deep down we might well have wondered why God might have wanted to hurt us when things didn't go right. \\r\\n\\r\\nLarry Crabb doesn't shy away from the hard stuff here, and is honest about his own experiences plus his reflections on what the Bible says and then what that might mean today. \\r\\n\\r\\nHe doesn't pander to feelings, but then he is so loving and open and honest in this book that it doesn't feel like a guilt trip at all. \\r\\n\\r\\nI was revived by reading this I'd love you to be too.

The best book I have read on the topic of why our dreams do shatter and God plan and redemptive purpose in that. Larry crabb's style is incredibly authentic, open and honest. You instantly lose your defences and want to hear what he has to say. It is incredibly challenging reading yet at the same time you feel a very real sense of hope. It encourages the reader that in losing some of our dreams we can if willing be part of God's greater plans for our life and a deeper level of intimacy with Him. It explains so clearly the diffrence between happiness and joy. I would recommend to anyone in a place to learn and grow in the midst of pain and loss.
