Renner has put a lot of effort into this book, no doubt about that. Some of the devotions are very edifying and insightful. I would caution, however, that some others are not. For example, he occasionally takes a Greek word, applying every possible meaning to it, giving no notice to the context or syntax of the verse or passage. This occassionally leads to some strange ideas that I cannot endorse. So, should you buy this book? If you want. Never have I found a devotional to be everything I have always desired and needed. Rick Renner expounds on certain words in the daily passage of scripture from the Greek, shedding deeper insight on the passage; which brings clarity and greater understanding of even the most familiar scritures. The Word comes alive. At the end of each devotion is a section of prayer, a section of a confession and a question or two of points to ponder relating to what you have read and learned. It is anointed, truly set apart from any devotional I have ever read or owned; which captured my whole being. It speaks to the mind, the heart, the spirit. I am a mature Christian who needed genuine fresh authentic inspiration; I have never been so blessed by a devotional book, and in all honesty, it is much more than that. . . and cannot commend it highly enough. It is a perfect gift for a young Christian who is new to the Word of God, or a mature Christian at a deep spiritual level;it truly is for anyone,it's amazing. Even in the days of people going to e-books; it is a book you want to have in your possession. \\r\\n\\r\\nMy book sits beside my Bible at my kitchen desk; I have them both opened first thing each morning, and the Lord's presence is with me as I engage with the Word of God with Renner's knowledge of the Greek breaking down certain key words in the passage of scripture, helping me glean even more from the Word of the Lord.
