Harper Taylor's mother died in a car accident when she was a baby. When a DNA test reveals that Harper has a half-sister she never knew about, some coincidences in their stories raise questions about what really happened to her mother. When her business partner and mentor is hospitalised, Harper and her partner's son Ridge have to work together to unravel the sinister forces that seem to be closing in. However, they also have a history. Ridge doesn't trust Harper. As they spend more time together, love starts to blossom, but who can they trust? Another good romantic suspense from Colleen Coble. I've read a lot of her books, and I didn't feel the writing in this one was quite up to her best. However, it was still enjoyable. The setting in the area of pen shell research was also something I hadn't come across before, so that was interesting. Worth a look if you like romantic suspense.

Great Coble read

She's never stopped wishing for a family of her own. \\nWhen a DNA test reveals a half-sister just two hours away, Harper is hopeful but so nervous. When she and Annabelle find similarities in their stories, is it just coincidence or is there a dangerous reason for the tragic deaths of their mothers. and how is it that neither of them knows their father's name. \\nWhen Oliver is unable to be located and found attached Harper finds herself working with Ridge, Oliver's son, who has never approved of Oliver's care of Harper. Can Ridge get past his suspicion and hatred to work with Harper to find the attacker and what of the attacks to Harper herself? She's also hiding a secret but can she trust Ridge enough to let him protect her as they work to find the answers they need to unravel the past and explain the present. What of the future?
