When former Navy Seal and lifelong bachelor Ranger Kingston is called upon to take part in a rescue mission to save his brother Colt, who has been kidnapped by terrorists in Nigeria, he is shocked to find among the hostages a woman he knows and could never forget.
Noemi Sutton was attempting to return a young girl to her family in Boko Haran territory when she and the girl found themselves taken hostage, along with several others.
And while Ranger Kingston may be able to get the hostages away from their captors, he'll need Noemi's help if he ever hopes to get out of Nigeria alive.
Her solution? Pose as husband and wife. But when her uncle discovers the union, he insists on a traditional Nigerian wedding--binding Noemi to a man destined to break her heart. Worse, she's discovered the real reason she was kidnapped, and anyone around her is bound to be caught in the cross fire. Including her so-called new husband.
She'll need to figure out a way to leave the man she loves if she wants to save his life.

Former Navy SEAL Ranger Kingston takes part in a special op to rescue his brother Colt, who has been taken by terrorists in Nigeria. However, he wasn't expecting to find that another of the captives was Noemi Sutton, the Nigerian/American girl he loved and left in Key West several years beforehand. \\n\\nI really enjoyed this second book in the Sky King Ranch series. Noemi and Ranger are great characters, and there are lots of moments of life-and-death suspense, with some interesting twists. Intrigue follows them not just through Nigeria, but back at Ranger's home in Alaska. Can't say much due to spoilers, but there's a nice set-up for the next book which I really want to read. You could read this book by itself, as it has it's own story arc, but it would mean more if you've already read Book 1. I liked Book 1, but I actually like this one better. \\n\\nIn amongst the action, there are also quieter moments when both main characters have to grapple with their past, their real feelings and whether it's better to run or stay. Faith issues are sensitively dealt with too, as Noemi starts out feeling God doesn't notice her and then comes to realise that maybe He does. \\n\\nIf you like romantic suspense with some deeper issues of faith thrown in, add this one to your list.
