Wow! This is not your usual Amish story. There is action, passion, and lots going on. Instead of a peaceful story I can pick up, relax with and put down whenever, like I find most Amish books, this one compelled me to read and keep reading and even snatch a few lines while the kettle boiled - I couldn't put it down. I will certainly be looking out for more books by Laura Hilton. She provides a well written story that is inspiring, exciting, and unpredictable. Abigail is sweet and nave, troubled and wounded. Sam Miller is strong and brave and devoted. And when they meet . . . well, you'll have to read the book to find out. I highly recommend you do, even if you don't usually read Amish books, because this is not your usual Amish book.
