The Chosen: Father, Forgive Them (#06 in The Chosen Series)

In Father, Forgive Them, Jerry Jenkins takes you into the final hours of the darkest day—literally and spiritually—of recorded history. Jesus’ disciples, His known followers, are plunged into fear and confusion as He appears to willingly submit to His arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane, His sham trials, and His crucifixion. They find it impossible to fathom why the Messiah they love refuses to save Himself.

The story delves deeply into the mind of Peter, devastated by his denial of his Master. Judas is horrified by the consequences of his betrayal. Nicodemus risks his reputation and standing to challenge the Sanhedrin’s proceedings against Jesus. Pontius Pilate, King Herod, High Priest Caiaphas, and even the Roman soldiers carrying out His execution must face the question that has followed Jesus for three years: Who is this man?

Meanwhile, the women who follow Jesus, including His own mother, resolve to stand with Him as He makes His agonizing journey to Golgotha.

With vivid detail and emotional depth, Father, Forgive Them brings to life the sacrifice which leads to the miracle that changes the world forever.Read less
