The Church History ABCS

A fantastic introduction to Church history for kids (and adults alike!) Vivid illustrations for each person in Church history with a short summary of their life written in first person. At the back of the book is a more detailed account of each one, which I found particularly helpful and interesting. Crossway publishes long lasting books, so as usual the binding is great, the pages are sturdy and strong, and the font is easy to read. I'd recommend from ages 5+

An interesting book. I think I learned as much as the children listening did. There is a small paragraph of text of a person's life related to that letter of the alphabet. An interesting walk through the history of the Christian Church, however I would recommend for middle-older primary kids 7-12 year olds.

Kids need real heroes - and (other than the Bible itself) the best ones are found in Church History. Nichols and Bustard have produced a fine resource in this book for kids. Real Christian heroes - ancient and modern - are presented in an ABC format in age appropriate language. As a primary-age Church History teacher, I'll definitely be using this with my students as an introduction to Church History. I'm hoping they'll come out with more in this series.
