Aidyn Kelley is talented, ambitious, and ready for a more serious assignment than the fluff pieces she's been getting as a cub reporter for the *Kansas City Star*. In her eagerness, she pushes too hard, earning herself the menial task of writing an obituary for an unremarkable woman who's just entered hospice care.

But there's more to Clara Kip than meets the eye. The spirited septuagenarian may be dying, but she's not quite ready to cash it in yet. Never one to shy away from an assignment herself, she can see that God brought the young reporter into her life for a reason. And if it's a story Aidyn Kelley wants, that's just what Mrs. Kip will give her--but she's going to have to work for it.

Debut author Sara Brunsvold delights with this emotional multigenerational story that shows that the very best life is made up of thousands of little deaths to self. You'll want to be just like Mrs. Kip when you grow up!

    Wow

Started this book intending to read just a few chapters, but gave in to the urge to keep reading to the end. Beautiful and sad, this story does not shy away from the harsh realities of life, and death.

A story of joy and sorrow - and how, so often, we can have moments full of both.

    A story of encouragement.

A story of Mrs Kip, of Aidyn Kelley, and of so many others.

A story of dying "". . . a thousand little deaths to self"".

Most of all, the story of God and His boundless love for all people, a love made visible through Christ.

    Heart Warming and soul inspiring

This has to be one of the most heart warming and down to earth novels I've read. \\nSo many times I cried as it reminded me of my own moments with my Nan in hospice. \\nThis novel sings to the soul and has us reassess how strong our belief system is. This novel leaves you feeling so inspired and wanting to live a life just like Mrs Kip. \\nI give this novel 5 +

    Refreshingly Different

This was a wonderful story. Being about dying it won't be for everyone but I along with many others really enjoyed it. I enjoy finding books that are a bit different and unashamedly Christian. I learn so much from them, they give me pause and make me think. It was tied up so beautifully in the last few pages with some profound truths.

An inspiring woman causes real reflection

This novel is a down to earth story of an incredible woman. Incredible because of the God she lived for. This character has traits that everyone should aspire to. I loved the weaving together of her story and the lives of those she touched, right down to the lady writing her obituary. A powerful narrative to effect real change.
