Eamon Goodhand, promoted to the rank of Hand at a speed he can scarcely credit, is regarded with suspicion by many of his fellow officers. Nevertheless, his abilities - particularly in interrogation of prisoners - are prized by his superiors. But Eamon conceals a fatal secret: he is sworn to both Eldered, master of the city of Dunthruik, and to Hughan, rightful king of the land. Whoever he serves, his name will be traitor. As tensions and military skirmishes increase, Eamon finds himself trusted by both his masters. How can he possibly maintain his integrity, act justly to his fellow officers of the Gauntlet, and act on behalf of all the warring people of the land?

    2nd book highly recommended

A second book in a trilogy has the potential to be just the filling, and often does not really add much to the story. Well, this second part is not so. It is truly a thrilling work with so many surprises and a wonderfully woven tale of Eamon as he continues on his challenging and yet chosen path. I highly recommend this book, but make sure you read part 1 first. Love Christian fantasy!

    Amazing Book!

The King's Hand is an amazing book. As the fight between the Master and the true King continues, the Master gives Eamon Goodman a horrible task: To bring him the head of the King's closest ally. The Master does not know that Eamon had once taken a oath to serve the true King. What will Eamon do? Will he remember the oath he had taken or will he betray his King? This is a real nail-biting adventure.
