It swept me off my feet!

I really enjoyed this novel, as it shattered the class expectations of its era and gave me a glimpse into the colonial history of America. Laura Frantz did not disappoint with her gorgeous characters and a bit of 'edge of your seat' drama.

    A moving love story

This is a beautiful and moving love story and I loved the intensity of this story. I was drawn into this story from the first page and found myself completely caught up in the heartbreak, passion and triumphs of the lives of Liberty and Noble. This story had the right amount of tension, suspense, drama and romance to get me turning the pages to find out what was going to happen next. A compelling story that encompasses their faith in God to guide them through a revolution. This is a rich, heart tugging, moving story that will capture your heart.

    Blossoming

Just as I was slowly getting myself hooked in the story, so too were Noble and Liberty falling in love. What I love about Laura Frantz's writing is the reliable pace at which the story develops. There is depth and character that communicates Liberty's delicate and vulnerable yet independent personality. It's no wonder that Noble falls in love with her and she with him! Surrounded by a changing and uncertain society, Noble and Liberty stand united for what they believe in and don't let the troubling times get between them. They know who they are in God which is what matters most. Their blossoming relationship is beautiful and vulnerable. Their unspoken attraction for each other makes for tense and anxious moments. A lovely read!

    Detailed

I enjoyed the story despite feeling the detail was a bit more than the story required.
