    Essential Reference

Unlike the older Whiston translation- this updated and expanded translation makes this invaluable work highly accessible and comprehensible. The format is easy to read and well laid out. Might have been better to have the photos in the appendix. Colour photos accompanying the text would have been a bonus but not to be. \\r\\nThe paperback edition is value for money especially on special so no complaints. Obviously this is no ordinary history book and certainly not a novel to sit and read in one go. For serious Bible students this edition brings all five works of Josephus into one book cross referenced to Loeb. Would recommend it.
