    A delight to read

This story is set in Minnesota near the town of Blackduck. After enduring an interesting and gruelling voyage all the way from Norway, Rune and his wife Signe, and their 3 sons finally arrive safely at their relatives home near Blackduck. The story captures the drama, challenges and courage they face as a family starting a new life in a new country. Especially having to learn a new language. The hardest challenge for this young family is enduring the tension caused by their Uncle Einar, who is a very bitter and angry man, who treats them more like slaves than relatives. The Author easily pulls you into the story and keeps you interested with detailed characters and drama to get you turning the pages to find out what happens. A delight to read, looking forward to reading Book 2 in this series.
