A neat summary, but strange compilation

This book is quick and easy to read, but contains a somewhat strange collection of elements. The story of the reformation by Michael Reeves in Part I is as good a summary of the events as I've read: lively, concise and still hitting the essential moments. However, Part II by John Stott doesn't seem to fit the volume - giving a theological summary of evangelicalism based on the Apostle's Creed instead of anything distinctively from the Reformation period such as the 'solas'. The inclusion of a long timeline (which mostly just gives birth and death dates of the key players) and all of Luther's 95 theses are also odd inclusions that take up a fair amount of space that would better be given to a more thorough retelling of the historical events, especially for those new to the topic.
