Young Eamon Goodhand has completed his training to join the Gauntlet, the army of the overlord Eldered. Eldered maintains tight control of his domain by virtue of the Gauntlet, his commanders the Hands, and his grimoire the Nightholt. Eamon swears to serve his master in opposing the villainous Wayfarers, whose depredations threaten the land. His gifts, particularly his potent insight, are valuable to his superiors. However, Eldered's bloody rule, and Eamon's personal friendships, start to challenge Eamon's assumptions about what might be true, and worthy of service. Yet he may not forswear his vows.

    Excellent!

Oh my goodness! It is aways difficult trying a new author, but this was an excellent choice! The Traitor's Heir is an amazing story with so many pictures of one's Christian walk in fictional form. I am a Christian fantasy lover, and this book did not disappoint! I was so engrossed, I almost missed getting off the bus while reading this book. \\r\\nI highly recommend the book, as it weaves a brilliant story of a man who is trying his best to remain true to his beliefs and promises, but is really struggling with everything thrown at him. Set in a village in a time when there were knights, and lords, and horses, it is a beautiful work of fantasy and the supernatural thrown in. A new favourite author.

    Fantastic Read!

I love reading Christian fantasy books, and this is one of my favourites. The main battle in the story is between the King (good) and the Master (bad). Cadet Eamon Goodman is the main character and has to choose whom he will serve, the Master or the true King. The pull of evil is strong upon him and is hard for him to resist. Which way will he go? This book had me sitting on the edge of my seat and I couldn't put it down. It is a must for anyone who loves fantasy.
