'Happiness comes and goes. It's too dependent on circumstance. But joy is constant. And my joy comes from the Lord.' FELICITY WATSON When Emily Watson returns to beachside cottage of her childhood carrying her own little family secret, she doesn't expect Gran's memories to awaken the writer within her, nor her old love of Jane Austen. And Emily certainly doesn't expect to find herself in a church pew admiring the handsome man at the pulpit - her own Korean Mr Collins. But Gran's joy and faith is contagious - even if her illness isn't. As the Watson women journey through bittersweet endings and new beginnings, they are forever connected by blood, poetry, memories, and tea.

    A wonderful read

This story was a pleasure to read. With vivid characters and setting, it was laden with heart-warming moments and surprising plot twists. I wished I could go to that cosy beach cottage and have a cup of tea with Gran and Emily. A beautiful tribute to a special grandmother with much inspiration to create strong bonds, as Gran did, with my own children and grandchildren. Well done, Elizabeth Calder and Elizabeth Snow.
